HSK Grammar, in the order the exam uses 按官方考纲顺序学语法

Chinese textbooks usually teach grammar by topic and pick their own order. The exam does not work that way, and the gap is where people get stuck. This page follows the official HSK3.0 grammar outline for level 1, item by item, in the order the outline puts them.

What this page is, and what it is not这一页是什么

There is a difference between teaching the grammar the exam asks for and teaching exam technique. Only the first one can be done from an official document.

So we did the first one.

Not exam prep

We follow the official HSK grammar outline in order. This is not exam prep: there are no scoring tips or question drills here, because we have no official scoring rubric to draw them from.

Not a total count of Chinese grammar

Widely quoted figures, 585 or 593 grammar points for HSK as a whole, cannot be traced. The official outline has no numbered column, and sources disagree. So this page says how many items level 1 has, counted from the outline itself, and says nothing about the total across all six levels.

The six sections六个类别

Same order as the official outline, starting from morphemes and working up to sentence patterns. Word classes is the biggest section, and everything after it leans on it.

Twenty-five items in that one section. It is the foundation, not an aside.

Why some basics are missing为什么有些"基础"不在这里

A比B, 虽然…但是 and 一…就 all feel basic, and most textbooks teach them early. They are not in level 1. 比较句 and 趋向补语 sit at p.390, which is level 2; 兼语句 and every conjunction-linked compound sentence (虽然, 因为, 一…就, 选择) sit at p.391, level 3.

That is not our rule, it is the outline's.

If you came across these as "basic", the book you were reading had reordered things for teaching convenience. We keep the official order and flag the level. Nothing you learn here has to be unlearned later.

Where the levels go路线图

Level 1 is done. The rest is marked planned rather than promised, and each one gets built only if it is worth building.

Grammar you can recognise is not grammar you can use. The words these examples are built from are on the Core 500 page.

One page, then four hundred words.
